When Microsoft's Bing was launched with a lot of publicity a while ago a lot of people had hopes that it would be able to compete with Google. But it seems they're trying to do it by copying Google's search results: Official Google Blog: Microsoft’s Bing uses Google search results—and denies it

The time when Christians celebrate some bloke being nailed to a bit of wood and then allegedly coming back to life. It's a load of nonsense of course.
But it has reminded me that I bought a domain name to write an anti-religion blog, which will be at http://antitheism.co.uk/
Maybe I'll make a start on it today, I can't think of a more appropriate day to do it.

In other news...
I've been playing with a Wordpress plugin that allows Google maps to be inserted automatically into blog pages. Unfortunately Google isn't that great at recognising UK addresses, and instead often shows a location elsewhere in the world. So instead of everything happening automatically I've been having to manually tweak each map. Not something I really want to do on a website that will have over 1,000 pages when it's finished. The site is at http://cheap-london-hotels.org.uk/
It's probably not sensible trying to set up a hotel review website when there are some big players dominating the market, but I've had the domain name for several years so I thought I'd better do something with it.

Finally sport....
Leicester City lost again. Still in the play-off positions, but it looks like a win will be required on Monday to maintain that position.
I've been looking at football shirts to give as xmas presents.

I like the new England home shirt, but it's too expensive.
The England away shirt is currently available for less than £15. I suspect that's because it's likely to be replaced before the world cup, and I think it looks ugly anyway. I imagine the replacement will cost around £50 but people will buy it anyway.

Maybe a T-shirt will do instead.
After weeks of seemingly non stop rain it's finally dry. But that's coincided with the temperature dropping. I think I preferred the rain.

I was thinking of going to see Carlisle United v Hartlepool tonight but I doubt I'll be awake by the time it starts. because I've been up since two this morning. At least I won't have to sit in the cold for two hours watching a drab 0-0 draw.
Christmas is coming!

I want a cuddly toy
I watched the Champions League last night and Manchester United were rubbish. Can't say I was bothered who won it but Man Utd's failure to turn up made the game pretty boring to be honest. Lots of nice passing and possession football from Barcelona but it didn't feel like a proper cup final.
I almost feel sorry for Newcastle fans, this season has seen them lurch from one crisis to the next, culminating in their relegation on Sunday.

But at least they've won an award... Premiership Team of the Season
